I need help solving these logarithmic equations, please. a) x=log(100) (10) b) x= (12)log (12) (5) I put the numbers in ()
are these correct \[x = \log_{100}10 \] \[x=12\log_{12}5 \]
Yess. I didnt know how to write them on here.
do you need to put them in exponential form or just need a numerical answer?
Just the numerical answer
I have another one but Im not sure how to write it either....its log 2 2 sqrt 2 over 5?
ok use the change of base formula logb(x) = ln(x)/ln(b) ln is natural log, use your calculator
I know this sounds really, really dumb. But my teacher has not taught us with the caculator and Im not sure how to use it. Im sure thats what we will learn today in class. Thanks
well depending on your calculator its not that bad. for the first one you would press the ln button then 10 and divide by ln(100)
