A uniform disk has a moment of inertia that is (1/2)MR2. A uniform disk of mass 13 kg, thickness 0.3 m, and radius 0.2 m is located at the origin, oriented with its axis along the y axis. It rotates clockwise around its axis when viewed from above (that is, you stand at a point on the +y axis and look toward the origin at the disk). The disk makes one complete rotation every 0.3 s. What is the rotational angular momentum of the disk? I plugged in the givens into Lrotational- Iw where I= (1/2)*M*R^2 and w = 2pi/period and put in <0,0,-1.733> into webassign but it was wrong. I don't have any su

why would it be a vector???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its angular momentum that is that it is a momentum for circular motion, which means that at any point on the disc it should have that momentum. On webassign you only put vectors if the vector toolbar pops out on the left when you click the box for the answer.

The vector toolbar did pop up. This seemed like a simple plug-n-chug but I don't know how to fix my mistake for the future.

well at the very least I'm doing what i assume you did and best i can figure it should be 1.63362818
