It'd be nice if we could get the vector notation \vec (arrow above the variable) to not look like the arrow was a mile above everything else.

Hmm... The one I see is fairly close to the letter underneath it. Can you post a screenshot?

Also, we are currently running a slightly outdated version of the math typesetting library we're using; one of the things we have on our to-do list is upgrading it to the latest and making sure that doesn't break anything.

Firefox, but a slightly older version. I've also noticed that some of the other symbols don't look as nice as I've seen on other computers

Yeah. Though modern standards apparently involve textbf (bold) instead of vec (e.g., \(\textbf{v}\)).

I also think the latest version of MathJax (our typesetting library) is actually the first one that they explicitly tested on Firefox 4. So we'll bump up the priority of updating it.

Yeah I tried doing \textbf too and that didn't seem to do anything
