what is the integral of dx/x^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-(1/2(x^2))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you would bring the x^3 up to the numerator with a negative so x^-3 dx then you would integrate. Add one to the power -3 and divide by the new power -2.

I was thinking that i would need to use integration by substitution because of the dx on top, but that makes sense.
