Set up your long division thingy. I would get you started the first term of the answer is 2x^3
How did you come to get that number?
It's like high school long division. Write the long term, draw your line thingy, then write the short term next to it. You divide the first term of the big term by the first term of the divisor, the little term. 2x^5/2x^2=2x^(5-3)=2x^2
I mixed it up. The first term is 2x^3, like I said earlier.
I think I get it, thanks!

Now you multiply 2x^3 to the divisor 2x^2-1 and place the result under the big one.
