Graph the ellipse (9x^2)+(16y^2)-36x+32y-92=0
next time just use http://www.wolframalpha.com/, and type your equation of whatever there.
9x2-36x +16y2+32y=92 9(x2-4x)+16(y2+2y)=92 9(x2-4x+4-4)+16(y2+2y+1-1)=92
i did, but it doesn't tell me the points so it doesn't help much
9(x-2)^2 -36 +16(y+1)^2 -16=92
http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%289x^2%29%2B%2816y^2%29-36x%2B32y-92%3D0 Click on properties on geormetric figure...
9(x-2)^2 +16(y+1)^2= 144
9/144(x-2)^2 +16/144(y+1)^2= 1
(x-2)^2/144/9 + (y+1)^2 / 144/16=1
(x-2)^2/16 + (y+1)^2 / 9=1
(x-2)^2/4^2 + (y+1)^2 /3^2=1
wtf are you doing lol?
(x-2)^2/4^2 + [y-(-1)]^2 /3^2=1
tryceo you can't take wolfram in test. You need to do it manually.
If you wanted to graph it by hand.. then just complete the squares and then you are fine.
I dont remember the process for completing squares
what shorthand you use for quotient rule f(x) or what?
Sorry, ignore above. I was working with someone else.
