@polpak : draw two general vectors (say u and v ) in the first quadrant , and draw the vector representing their sum , now since the magnitude of u and v were equal then we have two sides of the triangle equal ( which means it is isosceles , with equal base angles , and these base angles are the angle that (u) makes with ( u+v ) , and the angle that (v) makes with (u+v).
