Can someone help me with factoring?
factoring is one of the hardest (but easier as you practice) concepts you have to learn it's important BUT it's very very hard to explain over the internet. http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/Alg/Factoring.aspx this site does a very good job of explaining it take a look at example 3 part e if you understand the basics and want an "advanced" one good luck
No my friend. I have specifiy problems. For example. I dont know to expand the following expression
you said factoring in the post btw but this isn't as bad as it looks \[(\frac{1}{2} - 2x^2 + y^2)^2 = (\frac{1}{2} - 2x^2 + y^2)(\frac{1}{2} - 2x^2 + y^2)\] the next part is just multiplying it out do you know how to do it?
I remember now. If Im not wrong, we have an expression like this (a+b+c)^2=a^2+b^2+c^2+2(ab+ac+bc) Please correct me if im wrong.
yup you got it
though that is with a more specific format the question must be asking for a square if the question was (a + b + c)(d + e + f) it would be (ad + ae + af + bd + be + bf + cd + ce + cf) does that make sense?
Not exactly. Sorry my english is not so good. Specify a little bit
can you tell me which part does not make sense?
and don't worry about english lol i know how it feels, english isn't my first language
Ahhh ok now I understand what you mean. Yeah you are right :) Thank you my friend
lol so you understand? keep the link that i sent it look at it if you have time, then again, it's for factoring... if you need help with factoring, that is definitely the site to go to like i said before, factoring is a difficult to explain, especially more complicated ones
http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/Alg/Polynomials.aspx this is the link for expanding take a look at example 3 if you have time it'll help! cheers!
Ok I will, thanks :)
no problem good luck
