i need help with locus does any one know how to find the ewuation of them

line m and then the condition is a set distance r from line m

The locus of point for that should be two lines, one on either side of line m (unless you are in three space, then it's an open cylinder with radius r).

In fact I would assume you are in three space if you are discussing a locus of points so you should have an open cylinder of infinite height and radius r.

If you want two lines then they are parallel to m so they will have the same slope and if you use the distance formula you can find points on the other two lines and use those to write the equations.
