Fun Questions Post #1 (See attached)

See attached.

Alright the first part of the question I'd prefer not to do because it's a simple proof. The first integration is .5. The second is 1.11, and the third is .69 for the first question. I'm rather disappointed. I thought you said you would give me fun ones. Those took me all of 3 mins.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wanna tell me your method for the last part? Assuming it's not wolfram alpha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm just surprised you didn't give exact answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That would have been convenient. If I wasn't impatient with it I would have just plugged it into a calculator. These are just blown smoke. There's no more thought than simple algebra. If they can just be plugged into a calculator that isn't particularly interesting. The second question is the same. If I felt lazy I'd simply put it in a calculator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you really want me to I can explain how, but you give the impression that you know, so it'd be redundant.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

xD You realise using a calculator to integrate takes no ability? You can't find the indefinate integrals in standard terms, only this exact one - if you actually tried it, you'd see it all follows niclely and a great question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not even a full method, just an outline to show you actually did it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha well that's the whole point of using a calculator. But I wasn't allowed to use a calculator ever until about a month ago, so I'm certainly not reliant upon them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the record, this is from a NON CALCULATOR exam for entrance to Cambridge (best University for Maths in the world). It's one of the easiest I've seen over all the papers (I said I'd test the water) but please stop acting like it's beneath you. If you'd actually tried it, you'd enjoy it. It's nice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cambridge is not the best university for math. The Massachusetts institute of technology is. And it's because I hate problems like that online. They're obnoxious to type out. I was hoping for something more entertaining and less methodical.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're wrong. And I don't want to see you type the solution, literally 10 seconds to explain the steps is all (I have a full solution to show you once you've earned it). Cambridge is the best University in the world full stop (see world rankings), and it's Maths department is its proudest feature. This question isn't even hard (to do the right way, no cheating), so how about you actually try it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I'm less inclined to even talk to you. I don't enjoy being spoken to as you would an insolent child. I'm tired of your haughty, condescending attitude.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can't do the problem? Fair enough, most people who sat it couldn't.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I'll do it. You're simply annoying.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, nice :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:: roll eyes ::

OpenStudy (watchmath):

Hi INewton, can you reattach the problem? :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure, see below. You may not be surprised to see that the first one is similar to the questions you posted earlier.

OpenStudy (watchmath):

Thanks :)
