Can someone define the actual difference between a sequence and a series? In relation to calculus.

A sequence is a list of numbers \[a _{0}, a _{1}, a _{2}, a _{3}, ... a _{n}\] A series is the summation of a sequence \[a _{0} + a _{1} + a _{2} + a _{3} + ... + a _{n}\]

series is sum of number with certain pattern

1,2,4,9 -- sequence 1+2+4+9-- series
