OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright. then what?

myininaya (myininaya):

x^2+5x+1=0 is it factorable? if not, use the quadratic formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

............ahhhhh wait i still dont get it.

myininaya (myininaya):

a=1, b=5,c=1 x=[-5@sqrt(5^2-4(1)(1))]/[2(1)] when @ means plus or minus

myininaya (myininaya):

x=[-5@sqrt(25-4)]/2=[-5@sqrt(21)]/2 x=[-5+sqrt(21)]/2 or x=[-5-sqrt(21)]/2
