How do I find the intercepts and graph the equation 6x+5y=30 Can someone please show me what this is suppossed to look like ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just rearrange for y is what I would do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 5y=30-6x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide everything by 5, and you get y=-6x/5 + 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then to get y intercepts you just put x as zero y=-6(0)/5 + 6----->6 and for x you just put y as 0 0=-6x/5+6-->-6=-6x/5----->-30=-6x--->x=5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=5, y=0 y=6 x=0

Ok the points on the graph for this problem are (-4,2), (-2,3) and (-2,4) I am suppossed to find f(2) f(3) and f(4) on the graph. How do I do this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you sure that there is two -2s?
