Can you explain the process of mitosis?
mitosis is when a cell makes a copy of itself........starts by the interphase by having the two centrosomes move to the sides of the cell opposite each other then in prophase microtubules start to form which can attach to kinetochores (the specific parts on the chromosomes where microtubules bind) then comes metaphase in this step the chromosomes line up straight so microtubules can attach then in anaphase the chromosomes start to separate with the help of shortening microtubules and at last in telophase the separated chromosomes are being surrounded with the nuclear membrane and it is followed by cytokinesis :) I hope that helps
actually correction in interphase the cells starts to grow preparing for separation then in prophase the centromeres move to the sides .....I apologize for the mistake it's been a while :D
