OpenStudy (blah):

what is momentum?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

momentum is the product of mass and velocity ( p = mv ) - note, that it's a vector quantity. Also note, that it's a 'conserved quantity' - meaning, the total momentum of any closed system does not change.

OpenStudy (toxicsugar22):

momentum is the speed of velocity you get that by muliplying mass and velocity (p=mv

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The momentum of a particle is defined as the product of its mass times Its velocity. It is a vector quantity. The momentum of a system is the vector sum of the momenta of the objects which make up the system. If the system is an isolated system, then the momentum of the system is a constant of the motion and subject to the principle of conservation of momentum.
