when you graph y+3<7 y=4 <-----) or <-----] how do i know which to use

OpenStudy (amistre64):

ohhh..... do you see what an equals sign looks like? (=)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you put a bar between it it looks kinda like [ or ] right? "[" means equal to

OpenStudy (amistre64):

which just leaves ( to mean not equal to

OpenStudy (amistre64):

y >= 4; [4,inf) x<3 ; (-inf,3) z <= -2 and z<7; (-inf,-2] U (7,inf)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so then i would use <-----)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

are you trying to graph the solutions to the 2 equations posted?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its just one equation solve y+3<7 which is 4 so the solution is y/y<4

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i see it: y+3 < 7 the answer then is: (-inf,4)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not exactly

4<x<14 graph & write in interval notation
