it doesn't it simplifies to 1/3
oh. so I guess I had it wrong. how would I go about simplifying the expression?
\[3^{n+1}/3^{n+2} = 3^n \times 3^1 \div s^n 3^2 = 1/3\]
remember ur rules of adding and subtracting exponents
3^(n+2) = 3^(n+1+1) = 3^(n+1) * 3 so that why 3^(n+1) divided by 3^(n+2) = 3^(n+1) / 3^(n+1) * 3 =1/3
