How would I go about graphing x-y>-6 on a plane?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first, transform into slope-intercept form, or y<x+6. This is a line with slope 1 and that goes through (0,6) and (-6,0). Graph it on the plane but with a dotted line. Next, test points above and below to see which satisfies. so test 0,0, which is below. does it work? Yes. so shade the half of the plane below the line. hope this helps.
