a+7 ----;a 7
What's this???
i dont know...thats what the problem looks like on my page....
what's the instruction of this question at the top of the page ?
Find a value of the variable that shows that the two expressions are not equivalent. Answers may vary.
Put a = 1
so then it would make the problem 8/7
The first one becomes 8/7 and the second 1 Put a = 2 and u get 9/7 and 2
how would i show my work for that?
???????
First expression is a+7 ---- 7 Putting a=1, we get 1+ 7 ie 8/7 ----------- (A) ---- 7 The second expression is a Putting a= 1 , we get a = 1 --------------(B) From (A) and (B) we can see that the first expression is not equal to the second.
Similarly by replacing a by 2 in the two expressions you will get 9/7 ---- (A) and 2 ------ (B) Hope it is clear now??
so the answer is 1?
See, you have to show that the two expressions are not equivalent, that is values of a + 7 and a are not equal/equivalent ----- 7
So from (A) u hv a + 7 8 ----- = --- 7 7 and From (B) a = 1 So their values are not equivalent
Is it clear now???
....mmmm ok
sorry im really stupid when it comes to math....
Pls don't use the term stupid NOBODY in this world is stupid Its only that some people r lucky to get teachers who explain concepts nicely and clearly The unlucky ones do not get good teachers and hence their concepts r not clear
and it doesnt help that its an online class...:( oh well...im still learning...
Well even online classes can be good I teach a kid in America online and make sure he gets the concepts
We do more examples if required
I think my brain is fried for the night...im going to email my instructor for additional help...ill be back though to learn more concepts of math! thanks though!
U r welcome anytime...
