how do i find the equation Y=MX+B just using coordinates?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you have two coordinates (X1,Y1) and (X2,Y2), you can find the slope between them using the equation M=(y2-y1) / (x2 - x1). Put in M, then use one of the coordinates for X and Y, and calculate for B... or B=Y1-M*X1 or B=Y2-M*X2. They should arrive at the same B.

thank you so much!
