OK, they are trying to teach you how to read these things. Well basically in the first bracket, they give you the beginning (x,y) position and the next bracket is the ending. Or, maybe the question isn't really clear and they want to know the third vertex?

Well the x coordinate of the base is given and that is j. So may be they want the x coordinate of the third vertex. For that you have know what isosceles mean and the length of the base: so what does it mean and what is the base?
Isosceles triangle is a triangle that has two congruent sides... Now the length is not given.. This lesson i am taking in Geometry is about trying to figure out the coordinates of either x or y by drawing the figure..
Well, the first x coordinate is given by 0 and the second one is given as j. So the length of the base is j. (Sometimes in math they give letters rather than numbers. And since you know it is an isosceles then the other vertex should be at x-coordinate half j or j/2.
