equation given: L=.87^x, which gives the percent of light that will pass through x thickness of glass (L= lumens per square meter). Suppose a light with an intensity of 1400 lumens per square meter. What is this the intensity of the light passing through 6 thicknesses of glass?

Im not sure if this question is quite posed correctly. Intensity is how much energy is incident on an object per unit area, but by saying that L is the intensity and the percentage of light that passes through an object of thickness is different, since the latter is flux. Anyways though, the key to the solution is the take the 6m thickness and somehow get that into the area of the object, you would need a length or width, then multiply that area by 1400 lum/area and you got the intensity.
