Unit analysis comes in handy here. u.v = <quantity, quantity> . < money/quantity, money/quantity> = (quantity * money/quantity) + (quantity * money/quantity) = money u+v = <quantity, quantity> . < money/quantity, money/quantity> = <quantity + money/quantity, quantity + money/quantity> Which doesn't really make sense for revenue to be a vector.
