plug in the value for x and see if you get the value for y out of the calculation i.e. 2 = -1+4 : is this true?

try each in turn and you will find a answer that doesn't work thats the one you are looking for
so in this case you are looking for a value that is > the value for -x+4
take A. with the values (1,2) put them into the expression: 2 < -1+4 so that is 2 < 3 now this is true and a solution we need to find something like 4 < 1 thats not a solution
