How do I find the anti-derivative of two things that are multiplied together (#4 Bri-Bri)
is one of them the derivative of the other?
right now I have e^-sqrt (u) multiplied by 4u^-1/2
what is the derivative of sqrt(u)?
(anti-derivative?) 2/3u^(3/2)
nope, what is the derivative of sqrt(u)
1/2u^(-1/2)
ignoring the constant, does it look familiar?
it looks like the -sqrt(u) but how does that help me?
you have a function, sqrt(u) and its derivative, 1/2(u^-1/2) present (differs by a constant), that should tell you what to substitute and what its derivative will be.
oh okay I just substituted x but i should substitute sqrt(x) but then don't I still end up with a division/multiplication problem that i have to find the anti-derivative of? do i know how to do that?
