need help on work sheet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do find the area on the first four i already found the perimeter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perimeter is length x width. or for the first one, just side^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the second one, draw a line so you end up with a square and a triangle. Area of square is (side) x (side) and Area of triangle is 1/2(base)(height). then add those 2 answers together

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On that other, I meant AREA is length x width

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On #3, area of a circle is pi*r^2. They give you the diamter, so half of that would be the radius.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the area for the first one is 14.44

OpenStudy (anonymous):

#4 is half a circle, so again do pi*radius^2, but then divide your answer by 2 since it's only 1/2 a circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, 14.44 m^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for number 2 what is the top number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YOu know the square has a lenght of 2.5, so if you subtract 4.7 - 2.5, that will give you the base of triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the area for number 2 is 5.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so number 2 that area is 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the area of the square is 2.5x2.5 the area of the triangle is 1/2(base)(height) = (1/2) (2.2) (2.5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then add those 2 answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, I've got to go....good luck!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank for the help
