Find the function and its domain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x)=x^2+6x G(x)-3x^2-1

OpenStudy (amistre64):

are there typos inthis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let f(x) = x^2 + 6x and g(x) = 3x^2 − 1.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the functions are already there, so no need to find them unless you are combining them together

OpenStudy (amistre64):

there are no restrictions to the domains as they are so; D:(-inf,inf)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the only trouble youd get yourself into is if your were to divide one function fromthe other; then the bottom would have to omit the domain that makes it = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(f + g)(x) =

OpenStudy (amistre64):

domain is all reals, no restrictions the function is just: (x^2 +6x +3x^2 -1) combine like terms...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

4x^2 +6x -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x^2+6x-1 is the answer it was looking for... thanks Amistre

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre welcome :)
