Question

I am giving this a try, because I am not quite sure, so please someone give me some feedback. The square root of a number "x" is the number "y", which if multiplied by itself, equals x, as y*y=x. In able to use this effectively in a quadratic equation, the equation must be in the form (x+a)²=b which will resolve to being (x+a)=(+/-) sqrt (b).
