4b(a-b)/a

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

whats the question

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

4ab - 4b^2 / a = 4b - 4b^2/a =4b(1-b/a)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiplying this wouldn't give us 4ab^2/a and then =4b^2?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

no because of distributive property 4b*(a-b) = 4ab - 4b^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhh yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so simplifying this= 4ab-4b^2/a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

=4b-4b^2

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yes but the 4b^2 term still has a in denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, I thought that disappeared with a going into the first problem. So my answer is still 4b-4b^2/a??
