Ok general formula for quadratic equations is the following: \[x=(b^{2}\pm \sqrt{b^{2}}-4ac)/2a\] The big mistery here is what a, b and c means, right? If you look the coefficient of x^2, you can see it is 1. The same for the coefficient of x that is equal to 4. You can realize that c is equal to -7. Now replace in the formula above each value and you will find the answer (values for x)
