wait why did you factor out a y?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

to show you that they can be added

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm im still confused lol..

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i went from one point to another using albegraic techniques to prove my point lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what happens when we factor out an x? x(y+y) = x(2y) = 2xy ; same result xy + yx = 2xy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh ok i got it. so it doesnt matter what order its in

OpenStudy (amistre64):

nope; doesnt matter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3\times 7 = 7 \times 3\] so \[3 \times 7 + 7 \times 3 = 2\times 7 \times 3\] in other words there is no difference between xy and yx so you can add them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok because my real question is can you add sinxcox+cosxsinx?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yes

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2sincos

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Figured ok. thanks are you a student or a teacher?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im studying to be a teacher :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg thats cool i would like to be a teacher myself. good idea for practice
