I'm trying to find the negative indicator to this matrix: 4 4 0 1 0 0 0 1 4 1 3 0 1 0 0 1 2 3 3 0 0 1 0 1 -1 -1 -1 0 0 0 1 0

you look at the bottom row to see which number is most negative, if there is a tie then you go to the most left number. then you divide the other numbers in that row by 1, and which ever is the smallest is the indicator

which is the point that you pivot around to make all the other numbers in that column zero

correct, so then since there is a tie for the most negative you choose the one furthest to the left

dividing the number in the row by 1? or by row1?

sorry you divide 1 by the other numbers in the column that the most negative number is in. so it would be like 1/4, 1/4, and 1/2.

then the smallest of those numbers (1/4, 1/4, and 1/2) is the indicator. but there isnt one that is the smallest
