how do u use Pascal's rational zero theorem

Well, if you have a polynomial function, such as 3x^2+2x=0, then you can factor out the x. so, it'll look like x(3x+2)=0. Now, algebraically, the x has 2 possible solutions. You can divide out the x and get 3x+2=0, OR you can divide out the 3x+2 and get x=0, which qualifies as a legitimate answer. Now, the other answer would be just using algebra to get the x on one side, and that's the answer. In this case, the answer is -2/3
