HELP! .. with Exponential Functions!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need help with this question... it says: " Simplify. Write each expression as a single power with a positive exponent." a) \[2^{4}(2^{2}) \div 2^{-6}\] how do i do this??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The top line says \[2^4 \times 2^2\], so you add the indices to get \[2^6\] Now you have \[2^6 divided by 2^(-6)\] so you SUBTRACT the bottom index from the top one to get 2^12
