Does anyone know anything about natural selection and Charles Darwin?

Natural selection is basically the process where animals who are better suited for the living conditions of their environment will survive. So, if there is a brown rabbit and a white rabbit, and they live in the snow, the predator would pick off the brown rabbit because the white rabbit is camouflaged. The white rabbit survived because it had favorable traits for where it lived. Charles Darwin was the first to really develop this theory and do studies on it.

The explanation above is not quite right. And Charles Darwin was not the first the develop this theory. He was the first to publish his findings. Wallace developed the a theory of natural selection independently of Darwin. They both presented paper's at the Linnean Society in 1858. But Darwin of course published On the Origin of Species the following year.

I would read whatever is assigned for your class. While natural selection is fairly simple, it is also involved and is more than just "survival of the fittest".

have you tried BBC bitesize on there it goes into simple detail on natural selection and charles darwin, I found it verry usefull for my exams becausethe simpler the information the better it is for you to understand
