Express pi as a fraction.
I believe pi is an irrational number and can not be expressed as a fraction.
\[\pi/1\] :p
My calculator gives a value 3.14---- I guess you could use 3 14/100=314/100=157/50 close but no cigar!
22/7 right?
I mean thats the standard version.
It's a reasonable estimate for many uses but is not exact; as radar said, pi is irrational and cannot be expressed (exactly) as a fraction.
Well not exactly, but it works dandy with circles.
Pi is an irrational number and cannot be expressed as a fraction, however there have been fractional approximations of Pi who have been discovered by various mathematicians, they include: 22/7 (The most common) 223/71 (correct upto two decimal places) 339/108 (which is also approximately correct up to two decimal places if rounded off) 62832/20000 ( a really approximate fraction) and there might be others too, which i might not be aware of, or studied yet.
