I need help with this inequality! -3>+k

OpenStudy (amistre64):

is that typed correctly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh opps no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3>-3+k

OpenStudy (amistre64):

solve it like a normal equation; what should we do first?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 3?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

that would be the most productive thing to do yes :) -3+3 > -3+3 +k 0 > 0+k 0 > k and your done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but if you plug it in it dosen't work

OpenStudy (amistre64):

0 is a limit; it never equals 0 because you say it has to be less than 0 at all times to be true

OpenStudy (amistre64):

k < 0 means that it gets close to 0; but can never actaually be 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeah i forgot thanks
