write in interval notation 5

myininaya (myininaya):

(5,12)

myininaya (myininaya):

if it was 5<=x<12 then it would be [5,12) if it was 5<x<=12 then it would be (5,12] if it was 5<=x<=12 then it would be [5,12]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as i see it x>5 and x<12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well how do you tell which notation it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean which notation it is? X is greater than 5 and x is less than 12. is that what you mean? or where and how do you put parentheses and brackets?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i mean about the brackets i though it would be (5,12)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same what i think since it both great than and less then. not greater than or equal to or less than or equal to. If it's greater than or less then. then you put brackets.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know anything about set builder notation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know bunch, or little of everthing. but don't know how to explain thoroughly how to do it. sorry i might know it but can't say i do.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have posted one that needs to be described in set builder notation did you see it
