Can someone explain the functions of the necroses.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as defined necroses means the death of a cell due to an injury or a disease. I think it functions as to help the body repair itself by getting rid of unnecessary cells which are not doing its work by that I mean that it does not undergo cellular processes, anyways cell regenerates thus replacing the injured somatic cells.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Necrosis is the premature death of cells and living tissue. Necrosis is caused by factors external to the cell or tissue, such as infection, toxins, or trauma. This is in contrast to apoptosis, which is a naturally occurring cause of cellular death.
