Interphase followed by mitosis, which consists of the following phases: prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Some textbooks divide up the sequence of events of prophase into two sets so that there are two phases: prophase and prometaphase. Hope that helps.
The cell cycle has four phases: G1, S, G2, And the mitotic Phase. The G1 is the first gap where in the cell grows in size and its cellular organelles. It will be followed The S (synthesis phase) where the DNA of the cell is doubled in process called replication. After that comes the G2 phase (second gap) wherein the cell prepares itself for the mitotic phase. The Mitotic phase starts with the interphase then prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase and lastly the cytokinesis where the cytoplasm divides thus producing the daughter cells.
