Need help with this! Find the period, range, and amplitude o the cosine function y=3/2 cost/2. How do you find the period for a graph? open this link the view the graph...i am unsure on how to find the period. Link: http://schools.connectionsacademy.com/content/media/102877-5272010-92002-PM-1855950374/res00000/ppg/examview/images/mc009-1.jpg Last one Write the equation of the cosine function with amplitude 2 period 4p

OpenStudy (amistre64):

cos(t/2) means that it takes twice as long to complete one cycle.... since the normal period for cos = 2pi; this takes: 2pi --- = 4pi for one period 1/2

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the easiest way to determine it is just to plug in '2pi' for sin and cos graphs and see tha the answer is...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when t = 2pi; we should equal 0 normally 2pi/2 = pi; which is only half the cycle; so 4pi to complete it: 4pi/2 = 2pi

OpenStudy (amistre64):

that has computational flaws in it; but the theory is sound lol

long answer superduper?
