A U B is the union (the combination) of the two sets, so A U B = D.

A N B is the intersection of the two sets. They don't have any elements in common so the answer is the null set or ø

This is a pretty simple answer. This is elementary set theory. The union just means to put all the elements into one set. You do not want to repeat in these sets.
Your sets are as follows:
{2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18}
{1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17}
{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13}
The union of the sets is: {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18}
The intersection of the sets is the set of all elements which are in both A and B.
Which is the empty set, which you can denote using an O with a hash through it, or can denote {}.
