Is "point slope form" the same thing as "point parallel form?" And what does "two point form of a line" mean?

not same, in slope point form the slope n a point on the line is given in two point form, two points on the line r given

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

I have not heard of "point parallel" form. POINT SLOPE This means "give me a point (a,b) and a slope m and I will give you the equation of the line (y-a) = m(x-b)" The INPUT is the point and the slope, the OUTPUT is the equation of the line. "two points form a line" means that you can draw a unique straight line through any two points you choose. (Try it, draw a dot, draw another dot, and then draw a line through them... there is nothing complicated happening here... you can draw one and only one line through the two dots.) :) Hope this helps.
