Vectors: Sketching planes in 3D space?

How do you sketch 3x-4z-12=0? I know x-intercept is 4 and z-int is -3 but I get confused on how to draw the plane when z-intercept is a negative. Can somebody please help me?

Drawing these by hands can be tricky. How do you feel with sketching planes with positive intercepts?

i can draw them with positive intercepts.. it's just that negative z-intercepts confuse me somehow :S

There's another. Basically sketch it in the xz plane and then "stretch" it back in the y direction. We choose xz because we know where the intercepts are.

How do you "read" the graph? I'm only used to xyz graphs (like the actual bar graphs)
