bacteria: they are prokaryotes. may or may not have cell wall. genetic material is not confined to a nucleus. They lack mitochondria. plants: are eukaryotic. Has definite cell wall. they have a definite nucleus and cell organelle mitochondria which functions as energy generator. Animals: cells are eucaryotic. Lack cell wall and bigger vacuoles. Has mitochondria and a definite cell wall.

First. animals and plants are multicellular organisms (ones that are made up of many cells) while bacteria are unicellular (one bacterium is a single autonomous cell). In unicellular organisms, bacteria can be defined as the ones lacking membrane bound organelles inside them. for example nuclear envelope, endoplasmic reticulum. This type of organization is called prokaryotic. Now lets consider animals and plants, the major difference between them is that plants can synthesize their own food via photosynthesis. While animals have to obtain their food from other sources like plants or other animals. Being mobile is a virtue of many animals but not all animals can move, sponges is an example.

well i know the difference for plant cells and animals .. my teacher just tells us to remember that a plant cell has a cell wall and the animal cell has no cell wall just the cell membrane

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plant and animal cell are eukaryotic cell whereas bacterial cell are prokaryotic, the genetic components in plant and animal cell are enclosed by an membrane whereas the bacteria nucleiod is not membrane bounded,
