OpenStudy (amistre64):

excel is pretty much putting the right data into the right cell

OpenStudy (amistre64):

prettify it my merging cells using title fonts and such

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes right but how can i convert a number to percent in order to appear in the pie chart?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

can you attach file in here? seeing it would be better than guessing at it :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its on the third sheet. i got confused for the pie chart

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you simply click inside of the pie chart, youcan edit the data if its just for presentation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also for the line graphs. i think th ey look wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u mean i write 19% for excellent instead of 32 which is written in the pie chart

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yes

OpenStudy (amistre64):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh but where did these numbers in the pie chart come frm?its really weird

OpenStudy (amistre64):

lol.... i cant say fer sure.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

it says countif(school,"excellent")/100

OpenStudy (amistre64):

but that isnt a percentage is it; that only works if there are 100 schools

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uh uts worng then?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

#excellent --------- = percent #schools

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it must be without the /100

OpenStudy (amistre64):

to get an accurate percentage I would say yes; % = part/total x100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but without it, these numbers appear 1900% 3800% 300%

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i got 19%,38%, and 3% that appear

OpenStudy (amistre64):

well; 32,63,5

OpenStudy (amistre64):

there are 19 out of the 60 posted that are excellent

OpenStudy (amistre64):

19/60 = .317 = 32%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 32%?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uh im so confused

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yes; 32% of the schools listed are excellent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and what about the other percentages?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you need to divide them by the total number of schools; which is '60' NOT '100'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow you really have helped me. im really grateful for you

OpenStudy (amistre64):

:) good luck with it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you very much :)
