Can someone explain trinomial squaring

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have an example, because i believe i know what you are talking about but i am not sure, are talking about factoring trinomials of the form ax^2+bx+c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you helped me with earlier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am still confuse a little bit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you talking about factoring something like: 3x^2+14x-5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like (5a + 3b + 9c)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would help if you could go step by step please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay, well let me show you all the steps involved in this okay, give me a minute

Thks :D

\[(5a+3b+9c)^2\] \[(5a+3b+9c)(5a+3b+9c)\] Go one by one, take the first term in the first bracket and the multiply by each term in second bracket, then take the second term in the first bracket and multiply it by each term in the second bracket, then take the third term in the first bracket and multiply it by each term in the second bracket. \[25a^2+15ab+45ac+15ab+9b^2+27bc+45ac+27bc+81c^2\] Now combine like terms: \[25a^2+30ab+90ac+9b^2+54bc+81c^2\] This is the final anser

Thanks :D
