Can anybody solve this one... Find a formula for f inverse (y). That is, solve for x in terms of y. y= x^6 + 2x^3 + 1.

myininaya (myininaya):

i can give me a sec k?

myininaya (myininaya):

let me know if you can open this

myininaya (myininaya):

i left off my minus

myininaya (myininaya):

suppose to be plus or minus

myininaya (myininaya):

we should probably restrict its domain to make it one to one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(s^6+2x^3+1\) is not one-to-one function, so it does not have an inverse function, except if you make a restriction in its domain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(x^6+2x^3+1\)*

myininaya (myininaya):

if we do the domain of f as (0,infinity), then f inverse equals (-1+sqrt{x})^(1/3)

Thank you very much you guys!
