OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think u have posted wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where is the numerator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is no numerator..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it rational? or not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question itself invalid..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a fraction must have a numerator and denominator...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6/8341 is rational as it is the quotient of two integers. This is the definition of rational.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

seanwalsh .....he put it /6.8341...it looks like that..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

otherwise ur right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you have mistaken the bar on top as fraction This is a non-terminating and repeating decimal representation and the bar on top shows that those digits are repeated. So, it is a rational number. Hope this answers yr question bluepen.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

harkirat if the total part is repetative then we express it as - - 6.8341. no need to put 4 bars..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In some books there is a long bar covering all the four repeated digits. He might not have been able to put a continuous bar. If u see, he has asked whether this is a rational no or not.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.....someways u are right...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bluepen is not online or he wud hv cleared it........ I think my answer is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):
