Wasn't this question already answered?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but i didnt understand how he did it

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Ok. Well, let's start with some vocab. :) 1) Do you know what "consecutive" means? 2) Do you know what an "integer" is? 3) Do you know what "odd" means? 4) Do you know what "product" means?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

consecutive is like 1 and 3 or 5 and 7. i dont know what integer is. i know what odd is and product is adding two numbers

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

1) Consecutive - correct. That means "in a row" basicall. 3, 5, 7, 9... are consecutive odd numbers. or 17, 19, 21, 23 ... are consecutive odd numbers, etc. 2) "Integer" = "whole numbers" no fractions, no decimals, no things like pi or e or whatever. Just whole numbers. 3) Odd = not divisible by 2. 4) "Product" = MULTIPLY "The product of 5 and 6 is 30" ... "the SUM of 5 and 6 is 11". (sum means to add)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh right ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how do u work out the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind i know know
